2nd International Patient Safety Congress

2nd International Patient Safety Congress, with the main theme set as “Global Knowledge Sharing for Patient Safety” was held between 25-29 March 2008 in Antalya Turkey.

The sole objective with this congress, supported by many international and national organizations including WAPS, JCI, GS1, AvMA, HTAi, p4ps, IHF, NASS, IRAHTA, Ukraine Patients Safety Foundation, Türk Kizilayi (Turkish Red Crescent), Turkish Evidence Based Medicine Association, Turkish Innovation Association was to achieve this exchange of knowledge and experience on a global scale at the highest extent practically possible. This platform was intended to serve as a venue for gathering the organizations and people possessing highest level of knowledge with those whom are not able to provide access to, due to lack of or limited sources in order to enable both parties effectively to take advantage of this opportunity for sharing and exchange of information.

The congress hosted delegates from 63 countries. Georgian Alliance for Patient Safety was by represented by three participants who had poster presentation of “Safety Culture Research in Georgia” and oral presentation on “Claims Sensitivity to Reflect Patient Safety Trends in Georgia”.
