Patient Safety Solutions 2008
In 2005 WHO launched World Alliance for Patient Safety.
"Solutions for Patient Safety" is one of the programmes under way.
Joint Commission International (WHO Collaborating Center) was designated to coordinate the work of developing and disseminating solutions for patient safety.
In May 2007 first set of nine solution was released. New Solutions are under development in 2008.
International Steering Commitee, supported by Regional Advisory Groups, launched in December 2007 the international Internet.- based field survey to seek the opinions regarding the content, feasibility,and applicability of proposed solutions. Potential barriers as well as need for adaptation to realities in various regions of the world shall also be addressed.
