Evangelos C. Alexopoulos, MD is a certified occupational health physician. Dr. Alexopoulos received his medical degree from the University of Crete Medical School in Greece. After an internship and residency in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Corfu, he completed his residency at the District General Hospital of “Evangelismos” in Athens, specializing in Occupational Medicine. He obtained a master’s degree in public health from the University of Athens, Greece, and a master’s degree in epidemiology from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He has practised occupational medicine as an independent physician in various worksites for more than seven years. Dr. Alexopoulos' primary research interests involve occupational diseases, occupational and environmental exposure assessment, worksite health promotion. His work has appeared in such peer-reviewed publications as the Occupational and Environmental Medicine, British Journal of Dermatology, Science of the Total Environment. Dr. Alexopoulos has taught for many years in undergraduate and post-graduate courses in occupational health and safety. He is a member of various Scientific Societies.
