3rd Spring Workshop: Balatonvilágos, Hungary, 17th May 2001
Patient as Participant The European Society for Quality in Healthcare is a network representing 17 National Societies for Quality Improvement. It was founded in 1998 and launched at the ISQua Conference in Budapest. Two and a half years later ESQH returns to Hungary to deliver its 3rd Spring Workshop. This Workshop will be held on Thursday 17th May, as part of the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Conference on Quality Improvement in Healthcare - Clinical and Organisational Excellence, which will run from May 16th to 19th inclusive. The theme of the Workshop is "Patient as Participant." This reflects the growing awareness that all strategies to improve quality in healthcare will mount to little if the consumer is not acknowledged as the raison d'etre of the health services. Patients must be listened to, they must be kept informed and at all times, they must be kept in focus. The ESQH Workshop will explore the developing strand of Patient Participation, recognising the steps that have been taken so far, and focusing on what needs to be done next. ESQH extends a cordial welcome to all attendees at the Central and Eastern European Conference. Speakers | |
