Bringing Together Quality Teams from every part of Europe

Seville Workshop

Thursday 16 May,

18.00 21.00

Title: Getting to Know Each Other.

Informal session where a representative from every country made a presentation telling us about their Society.
One of the chief aims of ESQH is to bring national Societies closer together; in order to develop joint ventures, to highlight common problems, to disseminate best practice, and essentially to cut down on the phenomenon of re-inventing the wheel.
Some Societies gave oral presentations, others distributed products and publications.

Friday 17 May, 12.30 14.30

Title: Applying the ESQH Vision in Member Countries

The ESQH Vision was prepared by Marius Buiting following discussions at Board Meetings and an open session at our Brussels Workshop. The final document is included here in Word, and it is also summarised in PowerPoint.

The aim in Seville was for each Member Society to explore ways in which they could apply the principles of the Vision in the workings of their own society, in a way that would benefit themselves and help bring a greater harmonisation to the European Society as a whole.

Title: Building a Living Network. (Parallel Workshops: The ESQH Portfolios)

The idea for these sessions grew out of the Brussels Workshop, when a number of members expressed a desire to become more involved with the workings of the ESQH Portfolios. Presentations were made at the Indicators and Training & Education Workshops, and a first meeting of the Patient Safety group was held. People were given the opportunity to sign up for the various Working Groups, and also to add the names of any of their colleagues. (The various lists, with contact details can be viewed here).

Soon, each Portfolio will have its own homepage here on the ESQH website. You can read summaries of what has been achieved so far, along with plans for the future and any opportunities for healthcare professionals to become involved.
